Sports medicine is a multidisciplinary specialty that helps people from all walks of life recover from injuries, stay active, and perform at your best.
When you’re injured, it might feel like you’ll never get back to doing the things you love to do, whether it’s riding your bike or throwing that touchdown. But the right diagnosis and treatment can get you back to where you want to be in life, and maybe even somewhere better.
Approximately 60% of the people we treat are high school, collegiate or recreational athletes, but we’re just as dedicated to helping the average weekend warrior, too. Our sports medicine team specializes in everything you need, including prevention training, early acute injury management, surgery, referrals, rehab and more. It’s just as much for people who play competitive sports as it is for those just looking to play with their grandkids, or their dog.
In addition to our work with individual people, Spectrum Health partners with professional, club and community organizations, schools, and employers throughout our community to provide injury care, athletic training, and physical therapy services. It’s all designed around you, and to keep our teams, students, and organizations moving.
Spectrum Health partners with professional, club and local organizations, schools, and employers to provide injury care, athletic training, and physical therapy services that are at the same level of rigor as what is offered onsite at our facilities, driven by physician/athletic trainer collaboration at the center.
Our sports med team is waiting to help.
