The Cancer Resource Library provides patients, families, and caregivers with access to support programs, resources, and services.
Resources Available:
- Salon Services*
- Blankets and quilts
- Sleeping caps and knitted hats
- Lending library books
- Activity books and games
All resources and services in the Cancer Resource Library are free with the support of the Corewell Health Foundation and generous donations and gifts from the community.
If you are interested in making an in-kind donation of items to the Cancer Resource Library, please contact the Foundation to coordinate a drop-off. Please note, the library accepts new/unused items only. Secondhand items should be donated to local shelters.
We are currently in need of the following items:
- Sleeping caps
- Fleece blankets
- Port pillows
- Packaged snack bars
- Sour candies (especially helpful for those receiving chemo treatments)
Beautiful You by Profile Salon services are now available at the Cancer Resource Library Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10am to 3pm
Salon Services include:
- Head shaves
- Hair trims
- Wig fittings & styling
- Make-up tutorials
Beautiful You by Profile is a 501c3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to help women and girls undergoing cancer treatment look and feel beautiful, provide a community of support, share resource awareness, and engage with their ongoing wellness.
They offer private consultations for people at Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion in Grand Rapids and Susan P. Wheatlake Cancer Center in Reed City. All services are by appointment only as to respect the privacy of each individual client.
