Why did you choose Spectrum Health for your residency/fellowship? Epilepsy training at Spectrum Health offers a comprehensive education through large EEG volumes, as well as an exceptional clinical experience. It was clear during my interview that the epilepsy department is made up of a diverse group of faculty that are welcoming, energetic and have a passion for teaching. Grand Rapids is also an incredible place to live with a great work-life balance and access to big-city amenities in a small-town atmosphere.
What are your clinical interests? I am interested in neuromodulation and electroencephalography.
Hobbies: In my free time, you'll likely find me hanging out with my husband and two black cats, biking or reading. I grew up spending my summers on the lake and love to be on the water — boating, kayaking and swimming. I also love scary movies and Mexican food.
