Neurovascular

Corewell Health’s neurovascular program is the leading provider of stroke care in West Michigan, and Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital (part of Corewell Health Grand Rapids Hospitals) has been certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center by The Joint Commission. Our multidisciplinary team of specialists has the training and expertise to provide the highest level of medical and surgical care to address the great diversity of circulatory disorders of the brain and spinal cord. Fellowship-trained neurovascular and interventional neurologists; vascular neurosurgeons; and neurocritical care, neuroendovascular and neurorehabilitative specialists constitute the core team. Advanced treatment technologies minimize the neurologic impact of cerebrovascular conditions—such as brain aneurysm, stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, arteriovenous malformation, subarachnoid hemorrhage and carotid artery disease—and may even reverse the course of serious injury.
